Testing Expectations

How Families Can Help

Parents and guardians play an important role in helping students perform their best. Please encourage your child to:

Get a good night’s sleep before testing days

Eat a healthy breakfast

Arrive at school on time

Maintain a positive attitude and do your best

Testing Day Expectations

To ensure a smooth testing environment:

  • Students should arrive on time.
  • Cell phones, smart watches, earbuds, and other electronic devices must be powered off and stored according to school procedures.
  • Students should bring any materials requested by their teachers.
  • Testing sessions must remain quiet and distraction-free for all students.

Attendance Matters

Please avoid scheduling appointments or early checkouts on testing days whenever possible. State assessments are carefully scheduled, and student attendance is critical to maintaining a secure testing environment.

Students who are absent during a scheduled assessment will be provided an opportunity to participate during a designated make-up testing window.
