Reading, Writing, Thinking, and Communicating
The English Language Arts Department at Sebastian Middle School helps students develop the literacy skills needed for success in school and beyond. Through reading, writing, speaking, listening, and critical thinking, students learn to communicate effectively, analyze information, and express their ideas with confidence.
Our curriculum challenges students to explore a variety of literary and informational texts while strengthening their reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and writing skills. Students are encouraged to think deeply, support their ideas with evidence, and become lifelong readers and learners.
