Understanding the Past. Shaping the Future.
The Social Studies Department at Sebastian Middle School helps students develop an understanding of history, geography, economics, government, and citizenship. Through the study of people, cultures, and events from around the world, students gain the knowledge and skills needed to become informed, responsible, and engaged citizens.
Our curriculum encourages students to think critically, analyze historical evidence, evaluate multiple perspectives, and make connections between the past and the world we live in today.
