More Information

Parent Right to Know
As a Title I school, we want to ensure families are informed about their rights. Under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), parents have the right to know the qualifications of their child’s teachers and instructional paraprofessionals. This includes information about state certification, degrees held, and areas of instruction.

To learn more about your rights and how to request this information, please review our Parent Right to Know Letter

Parent and Family Engagement Plan
Family involvement is a key part of student success. As a Title I school, we work together with parents and families to create opportunities for engagement, support learning at home, and strengthen the school–family partnership. Our Parent and Family Engagement Plan outlines the ways we involve families in decision-making, provide resources, and communicate throughout the year.

Title 1 Compact

Sebastian Middle School’s Title I School-Parent Compact is a shared agreement between the school, parents, and students that outlines how we will work together to ensure every student’s academic success. The compact describes each party’s role in supporting student achievement—teachers commit to providing high-quality instruction, parents agree to support learning at home, and students promise to take responsibility for their own learning. This partnership helps strengthen the connection between home and school and ensures we are all working toward the same goals.
